Itsenäisyyspäivä

Pääkaupunkiseudun opiskelijat juhlivat Suomen itsenäisyyttä opiskelijoiden itsenäisyyspäivän soihtukulkueessa 6.12.

Kulkueen lisäksi ohjelmassa on muun muassa juhlapuheita ylioppilas- ja opiskelijakuntien edustajilta ja Helsingin pormestarilta sekä kuorolaulua.

Juhlallisuudet alkavat seppeleiden laskulla Hietaniemen haustausmaalla Sankariristillä klo 15.30 ja juhlakulkue lähtee liikkeelle Hietaniemen hautausmaan kappelilta noin klo 16.30 ja kulkee Presidentinlinnan ohi Senaatintorille. Tapahtuma päättyy noin klo 18.

O'Diako osallistuu juhlakulkueeseen Hietaniemestä Senaatintorille klo 16.30, jonka jälkeen O'Diakon puheenjohtaja pitää puheen Senaatintorilla noin klo 17.40. Liity mukaan kulkueeseen, vilkuta matkalla Suomen presidentille ja tule kuuntelemaan puheet. Aseta päähäsi ylioppilaslakki tai teekkarilakki sekä säänmukaiset ulkovaatteet.

Tule kanssamme juhlistamaan Suomen 108-vuotispäivää perinteisessä opiskelijoiden soihtukulkueessa ja kansalaisjuhlassa!

Students of the capital region celebrate the Independence of Finland in the students' Independence Day procession on December 6th.

The programme includes choral singing and the speeches of Mayor and representatives of the student unions.

The celebrations will begin with the laying of wreaths at the Sankariristi in Hietaniemi Cemetery at 3:30 p.m. The festive procession will depart from the Hietaniemi Cemetery chapel at approximately 4:30 p.m. and pass by the Presidential Palace on its way to Senate Square. The event will end at approximately 6 p.m.

O'Diako will give a speech at the Sankariristi from 4pm, after which we will join the parade from 5pm. Join the procession, wave to the President of Finland on the way. Wear a student cap and weatherproof outdoor clothing.
